There are a lot of different kinds of electronic predator calls out there, but which one should you buy? Then you should look no further than the FOXPRO Deadbone, which is what you need.

Choosing the best electronic coyote call might not always be the most important thing to think about. It’s best to get a good deal. The FOXPRO Deadbone is a great call for people who start out.

When it comes to electronic coyote calls, the FOXPRO Deadbone is on the more expensive side. It costs less than $100, though. Even though this thing costs so little, it’s amazing how many great things it comes with. A good electronic call that works in all kinds of weather is worth less than $100. If you need a call that works in all kinds of weather, why pay $300 when you can get it for less than $100?

Most electronic calls made by the same brand or series have the same basic functions at the very beginning. There are two FOXPROs: the FOXPRO Inferno and FOXPRO Hellfire. The FOXPRO Deadbone is the little brother to both of them. Both of them have some advanced and premium features. Among other things, both units have remotes that have full-color LCD screens, and they can make 50 calls and more than 200 calls. They’re also somewhat louder than the Deadbone, but the Deadbone includes an external speaker socket, so you can easily add another speaker if you discover you need more energy.

The FOXPRO Deadbone is a good thing to buy.

Features

  • 15 high-quality FOXPRO sounds (note: these sounds cannot be changed)
  • Play 2 sounds simultaneously
  • High-efficiency horn speaker
  • Pilot Lamp/low Battery indicator glows green while on, blinks when batteries are getting low
  • Made in the USA

The FOXPRO Deadbone is FoxPro’s first electronic call. It comes with a pre-programmed remote that can make 15 different sounds, which are great for luring predators. In my opinion, this isn’t the best caller out there. It has all of the high quality that I’ve come to expect from FOXPRO, at a very reasonable price.

Two Sounds at the Same Time

With its powerful horn speaker, the Deadbone can make enough noise for almost any hunt. We have tested the Deadbone’s sound quality at full volume. At their best, the calls are clear as a bell.

The ability to play two sounds at the same time is also very useful. The remote has 20 steps that can be used to change the volume, and it needs a 9v battery. The caller itself needs four AA batteries.

Lightweight and unbreakable:

ABS is FOXPRO’s plastic composite material that is very thick. Experience has shown me that it’s so good that it feels like something that could be used in a war zone would be good. ABS is an injection-molded plastic case that is waterproof and very good at protecting your phone.

It’s also very light. FOXPRO Deadbone means that you can take it across any kind of land, no matter how rough or bumpy. All FOXPRO products are also made in the United States, and they are all sold here.

Proven to work in snow and rain

There was 6 inches of snow when we tried this unit in Washington state and it worked well. Snow is a unique problem for people who use electronic phones, because snow is known for muffling electronic sounds. However, we found that the Deadbone did a lot better than we thought it would.

In a wide range of calls

Deadbone: Here is the full list of calls that are on the Deadbone:

  • Coyote Locator
  • Female Coyote Howls
  • Female Coyote Challenge
  • Coyote Pair
  • Coyote Pup Distress
  • Platinum Grey Fox Pup
  • Jackrabbit, Cottontail
  • Snowshoe Hare
  • Baby Cottontail
  • Woodpecker
  • Nutty Nuthatch
  • Crow Fight
  • Fawn Distress
  • Vole Squeaks

On the FOXPRO Deadbone, what I think

The FOXPRO Deadbone is a high-end entry level unit that is almost indestructible and has a lot of features. At less than $100, this is a great deal. For most hunters, this electronic coyote call will meet all of their needs. It has 15 different sounds and a high-efficiency horn speaker.

You can’t change or programme your own calls.

However, this isn’t always included in calls that cost less than $200, so don’t worry too much about it.

Check out the FOXPRO Inferno, FOXPRO Shockwave, or FOXPRO Hellfire if you want more features, like a bigger call library and the ability to programme it. You can see this FOXPRO Deadbone review for yourself. It is so good at everything that you can’t go wrong by getting it.
