I felt that the ICOtec GC500 game call is very compact and lightweight to use. I never felt it was bulky or it was taking too much of my time in operation. It is fast and works great with the amazing ergonomic remote controller.
When you first take the main unit out of the box, you will get only 24 different animal sounds but don’t panic, you can download up to 200 different animal sounds from the official ICOtec website absolutely free.
After analyzing it for a while I found out that ICOtec GC500 comes with one 15 watt speaker which is loud enough to cover a large area of a field. You can hear the sound coming out from the main unit from a long distance. But if you think the sound coming out of the main unit is not loud enough then you can use the audio jack to connect an external speaker, isn’t it great.
ICOtec GC500 game call has also an Auxiliary jack to attach a decoy with it but unfortunately, you will not get any decoy with the main unit. You have to buy one if you want separately. I personally recommend you to use one because it increases your chance of hunting.
I found out that the ICOtec GC500 game call main unit needs 4 AA batteries to operate, and the remote controller needs one 9 volt battery to operate. The batteries last longer than I expected it would be.
